The DD-ECON-90 Dissection Petri Dishes are high quality plastic dissection dishes. They represent a highly economical alternative to our Pyrex Glass line of dissection dishes. Their size is well suited to general dissections. The bottom of the dissection dish is lined with several millimeters of Sylgard material, the perfect medium for pinning out tissue specimens during delicate dissection procedures. The Sylgard lining is free of air bubbles, and is not sticky to the touch. These dishes withstand many months of regular usage. The Sylgard material will seal itself when a dissecting pin is removed, providing a clean smooth bottom for some time. The DD-ECON-90 Dissection Petri Dish features a clear Sylgard bottom, which facilitates visibility when used with a transmitted light source underneath the specimen. The DD-ECON-90-BLK dissection dishes feature a black Sylgard bottom, perfect for applications where you have a light object and you desire high contrast between the object and background.
