The 10th edition of the whisky series depicting President Hombo's charming feline companions. May, the elder cat at 20 years old, represents the maturity of the Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. Hana, the younger, represents the beauty of a fine port. On the nose we get notes of cherry cola, milk chocolate, raisins, and vanilla cookie dough. The palate is rich and thick with those same cherry cola notes, chocolate vanilla, baking spice, and both yellow and black raisins.
Mars Shinshu Distillery has the highest altitude of all the distilleries in Japan. Situated in Nagano (the Japanese Alps, where the newest season of Terrace House is filmed) at an elevation of over 2600 feet, the temperature drops to 5°F. With fresh, ample snowfall, Mars Shinshu Distillery is situated in an ideal place for whisky production.
